We Need You! For the RDO Booth at OpenStack Summit Vancouver
by K Rain Leander
Hello RDO Community!
We are gearing up for OpenStack Summit Vancouver where we'll have our regular presence within the Red Hat booth. This spring we'll continue the ManageIQ / RDO demo we started last year and we'd love to see your demos, too! If you've got something you'd like to demo via video OR LIVE because you're not afraid of ANYTHING, sign up [1].
We're also looking for people to spend their precious free time answering questions [2] at the RDO booth. If you're attending, please consider spending one or more of your free moments with us. Questions run the gamut from "What's RDO?" to "I found a bug in Neutron and need help troubleshooting it." Of course, you're not expected to know everything and you can always keep IRC open to access the RDO Community for help! Plus, you get cool stuff! If you sign up for three or more shifts, we're going to hook you up with an RDO hoodie.
If you have any thoughts / questions / concerns about space / schematics / details, catch me on irc [3] or email me directly.
Thanks so much!
Rain

The schedule is now live for the Vancouver Summit! Check out the 100+
sessions, demos, workshops and tutorials that will be featured at the
Vancouver Summit, May 21-24.
*What’s New?*
As infrastructure has evolved, so has the Summit. In addition to
OpenStack features and operations, you'll find a strong focus on
cross-project integration and addressing new use cases like edge
computing and machine learning. Sessions will feature user stories from
the likes of JPMorgan Chase, Progressive Insurance, Target, Wells Fargo,
and more, as well as the integration and use of projects like Kata
Containers, Kubernetes, Istio, Ceph, ONAP, Ansible, and many others.
The schedule is organized by new tracks according to use cases: private
& hybrid cloud, public cloud, container infrastructure, CI / CD, edge
computing, HPC / GPUs / AI, and telecom / NFV. You can sort within the
schedule to find sessions and speakers around each topic or open source
project (with new tags!).
Please check out this Superuser article and help us promote it via

*Time to Register*
The early bird deadline is approaching, so please register
https://www.openstack.org/summit/vancouver-2018/ before *prices increase
on April 4 at 11:59pm PT.*
For speakers whose sessions were accepted, look for an email from
speakersupport(a)openstack.org <mailto:speakersupport@openstack.org> for
next steps on registration.
*Additional Sponsorship Opportunities*
If you are not yet signed up to sponsor, jump in now to get the best
booth selection. We also have new add-on sponsorships options, including
lounges that can be branded alongside a particular vertical that's
strategic to your company, such as containers or public cloud or edge
computing. Contact me for options; we'd love to hear your creative ideas.
Questions? Email summit(a)openstack.org <mailto:summit@openstack.org>.
Cheers,
Kendall
