Hi all,
Summary of today's checkpoint meeting (thanks to everyone who joined, and
to Jesse and Amy for keeping us on track). Notes are on the etherpad[0].
Leadership
----------
Confirmed as discussed on-list: I'll serve as PTL, with Sherif Nagy as
second. We'll revisit a distributed (DPL-style) model and/or elections once
we have a working cadence.
Status: migration and permissions
---------------------------------
- Distgit repos live in the Cloud SIG namespace[1]
- Permissions are validated end-to-end: lookaside upload works, and
openstack-keystone 27.0.2 built for Epoxy/el9 in CBS[2]
- If you haven't yet: link your CentOS account to GitLab[3] and see the SIG
git guide[4] to get set up
- To join the SIG itself, email Amy (amy(a)redhat.com) with your FAS account
Task assignments
----------------
- Francesco: open an MR for openstack-keystone (pending GitLab group add)
- Sherif: validate his permissions as well
- Neil/Sherif: inventory all Epoxy packages vs latest upstream bugfix
releases -- this will produce a task list volunteers can claim, tracked via
GitLab work items[5]
Open questions
--------------
- Where CI/testing should live (OpenInfra vs CentOS infra) -- CentOS has
public Zuul tenants[6], and there may be relevant Koji work happening in
CentOS infra; we'll follow up
- Scratch builds for CI/CD
Cadence
-------
Next meeting is 2026-07-28 14:00 UTC, and we'll attempt a biweekly cadence
from there. If you'd like a calendar invite so these don't sneak up on you,
reply to me off-list (or ping me on Matrix) and I'll add you.
We still need core reviewer volunteers -- there's a section on the
etherpad[0] waiting for your name!
Best,
Neil
