RDO RPM hand over progress
by Amy Marrich
Hi everyone,
I wasn't sure who was already subscribed to the RDO dev list(0) so
apologies if you are receiving this twice, this is the only double email I
will be sending.
While a few folks have said they have skills to help build the RPMs and
help others we still are looking for leadership to lead this effort.
Someone(or multiple people) willing to organize what needs to be done and
help coordinate who will work on them. So while we had a great meeting with
Jesse(1), we have not made any progress since. Without people stepping up
to claim leadership or tasks we will remain in the same state we have for
the last year.
There is a room on the Fedora Matrix server for Cloud SIG(2) we can use for
communication as well as the mailing list to coordinate this work before we
meet again with Jessee on 2026/07/14 14:00 UTC(3).
Please let me know how I can help you all,
Amy

Re: RDO RPMS Update - Meeting
by Amy Marrich
Thank you everyone for your responses and attendance, and congratulations
Neil. As soon as I hear back from the infra team about the archives not
updating, I'd like to drop the other mailing lists from this topic and just
use dev(a)lists.rdoproject.org as discussed in the meeting.
In the meantime, let's use the etherpad for notes and I've added a link in
the etherpad to the recording and the AI notes taken during the meeting so
that folks can review them.
Our first priority is finding leadership for this effort. I'm going to use
OpenStack project terms here for consistency, though they won't match
CentOS terms, but I think they'll make more sense to folks. So we need
folks willing to step up to be Core Reviewers, and then either a
PTL(Project Team Lead), or we can use the DPL(Distributed Project
Leadership) model. The PTL or DPLs would then be responsible for driving
and organizing the effort, with Alan and Alfredo providing mentorship, and
myself serving as the Community Architect.

Checking to see if this test is successful for the archives. If so it's
time to get communication going before the next meeting.
