Hi all,
I'm writing to you to let you know of a relatively-new OpenStack project:
Vitrage, the official OpenStack project for Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
The Vitrage service aims at organizing, analyzing and expanding OpenStack
alarms & events, yielding insights regarding the root cause of problems and
deducing their existence before they are directly detected. By doing so, it
promotes clarity and transparency of the cloud structure and state.

presented part of our project in the context of OPNFV-Doctor, which was

thank you for reaching out.
As you already know, I looked at the reviews. There is still some stuff
missing, something blocking each other (etc).
From my point of view, the thing currently missing in vitrage is a
sensu
data source. Vitrage somehow fits into the bigger game of OpsTools (in
short for operational tools)[1]. That toolchain dropped nagios a while
ago (or didn't even adopt it), and it doesn't use zabbix either.
We would most appreciate your contribution and assistance in this
process
of adding the Vitrage project to the RDO.

Thanks for the prompt response, and for your help in getting into RDO.
Regarding Sensu - we looked at it in the past, and adding a datasource for
it is indeed in the roadmap (though I need to check if we added a BP for it
yet).
It's important to note that Vitrage is highly-pluggable, and writing a new
datasource can be done easily. If you (or others in RedHat) would like to
take this task to speed this process up, we would be happy to assist with
this, both on our IRC channel or in the OpenStack ML - use the [Vitrage]
tagline.
