os-cloud-config already has the functionality to create flavors based on nodes
definition. It takes the node definitions from a json file though instead of
querying Ironic. However, there is also code already that uses that same json
file to register the nodes in Ironic, so it would be a simple enhancement I'd
think to make it query Ironic for the nodes definition.
Can you take a look and see if this is what you had in mind? I'd propose
driving this feature request in os-cloud-config directly.
Left a comment on the
bug. I'd like CLI and/or product folks to make the
final decision on where this belongs.
