At OpenStack Summit, it was suggested to me that we have IRC office
hours, so that there are certain times during the week when people can
be assured of having their questions answered.
While my experience has been that questions asked on #rdo, for the most
part, are answered quickly and authoritatively, the comment was made
that publishing "official office hours" would make our channel more
welcoming to beginners who are looking for a little help in their
OpenStack journey.
What I'm wondering is:
* Would you be able to commit to pay more attention during a specified
time period?
* What time(s) would work best for you?
I'm thinking probably two times a week - once for the North American
time zone audience, and once for the Europe/Asia timezone audience.
IRC "support" is always best-effort, as time permits, and nobody is
expecting any kind of guarantee here - I'm just looking for a way to
make our user community feel more welcomed.
Hello,
i'm not a developer, but a simple openstack operator. And i'm not
skilled enough on all the possible environments, i'm using only
tripleo for setup.
What's the kind of support you expect to have?
I can help for what i know, in standard european office hours, but it
all depends on the target of the support.
