Hello
I am attempting to test out the latest version of rdo manager and i noticed
a few things about download speeds.
- the rdo and dependent repositories do not use deltarpms - deltarpms are
_very_ useful to those with slow internet connections
- the download of the qcow image from
cloud.centos.org is the uncompressed
version. even though there is an xz image available
-instack-virt-setup doesnt resume downloads. so if a centos image doesnt
complete its download, the next time you run instack-virt-setup it will
download the image from scratch again.
I havent completed the instack-virt-setup yet (been trying now for about 12
hours - and i do have a good internet connection/ RTP) but i do have one
last observation.
i went to
http://cloud.centos.org/centos/7/images/?C=M;O=A and discovered
the script was downloading CentOS-7-x86_64-GenericCloud.qcow2 but there is
a newer version after that. maybe some links could be used to point to the
uncompressed version of the latest copy as well as the compressed version?
thank you very much for listening to my 2 cents
