I thought people might find this interesting. I wrote up a blog post
on how you can run a multi-node OpenStack IceHouse setup on EC2 or
GCE. This includes nested virtualization so your instances run full
speed (private beta atm. Note: no QEmu in emulation!) and private
tenant networks using VLANs.
This could be useful for trying out OpenStack, or for quickly
launching new installs for development and test. When an install is
done the entire env. can be snapshotted.
