I have been using RDO on RHEL6 with no problems and wanted to try
it on RHEL7. After running into issues with Cinder on RHEL7 that
turned out to be bugs that were closed in the last few months I
noticed that some of the RDO packages for RHEL7 are much older than
the RHEL6 equivalent packages.
Comparing openstack-cinder in the following two repos:
https://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/openstack/openstack-icehouse/epel-7/
https://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/openstack/openstack-icehouse/epel-6
The latest in epel-7 is openstack-cinder-2014.1-2.el7.noarch.rpm
from 23-Apr-2014 The latest in epel-6 is
openstack-cinder-2014.1.1-3.el6.noarch.rpm from 30-Jul-2014
Have the 2014.1.1 updates been suspended for cinder in the EPEL-7
repo or am I looking in the wrong place?
It's not the case for other components, f.e. for Neutron, so I think
Cinder packaging team missed the update somehow. Waiting for their
comments.
Thanks,
David
