Hello Luigi,
Yes, we have a general plan to drop CS8 jobs in master. We are tracking
this topic in
RDO meetings [1][2]. We are waiting for TripleO and Puppet projects to move
to CS9
in master. But yeah, I think we need to find a temporary plan as it might
take a bit longer.
Currently, we can't pin projects to a commit separately between CS8 and
CS9. But, we can add a mechanism
to do so : create a branch from master -> master-cs8 and edit DLRN script
on cs8-master DLRN builder
to checkout this branch. We just need to check the operational part and
evaluate if it's relevant.
For now, only Octavia [3] and Cinder [4] are blocked (i.e we can't build
the latest commits with DLRN).

Hi,
OpenStack projects are starting to drop support for python 3.6, which
means
DLRN-rpmbuild-centos8 is going to fail. I've noticed this in cinder, see
the
comment by Joel here:

I believe this is not a problem for cinder only, so my question is
(apologize
is it was discussed already): is there a general plan to drop those
*-centos8
jobs in master? Or should each component take care of removing them?
In any case this is blocking cinder builds right now.
Ciao
