Perhaps off topic, but are people still interested in the Heat standalone
container work? I never received any replies on the openstack-dev list when
I asked for direction on how to best integrate with TripleO. I need to
bring it up to date to work with recent changes of Kolla (and will do so if
people are interested after getting the ironic containers completed).

I think we're likely just getting to a point where we can start to have some
time to think about how an approach like this might integrate with TripleO. I
feel the idea has merit and is worth exploring. But, it's up for discussion as
to what everyone feels is the best solution and how much interest there might
actually be in such an approach.
Sorry I can't be more definitive than that.
I think solving for:
- undercloud HA
- easier POC's
- containerization
are all going to be areas with some focus over the next design cycle, and
personally I like the approach you proposed in that it has the potential to
address all 3 of those in some fashion.
