[rdo-list] [Docs] "Quickstart" in our documentation

We use the term "Quickstart" in a number of different ways in our documentation. Primarily, we use it to refer to the TripleO and Packstack "quick" installation methods. Long ago, when the world was young, Quickstart referred only to Packstack. We then had a variety of Quickstart variant docs, most of which are gone now. Then we did the TripleO Quickstart. This ticket: https://github.com/redhat-openstack/website/issues/931 - and this one - https://github.com/redhat-openstack/website/issues/924 - discuss clarifying this, and using the term "Quickstart" only to refer to the TripleO Quickstart. I wanted to be sure that this conversation is seen by more people, so that we're framing this in a way that both makes sense to beginners, and correctly reflects the direction we want to go with this as a project. So, we have: * Packstack: For an all-in-one proof of concept cloud * TripleO Quickstart: (How do we want to advertise this?) * TripleO.org: For actual real-world production deployments Yes? [rdo-list] Openstack Ocata, BGP speaker

We are trying to figure out the issue with the missing bgp dragent. We found: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1421701 That pointed us to https://github.com/openstack/neutron-dynamic-routing/tree/stable/ocata and we ran "python setup.py bdist_rpm" to generate the rpm. After cross comparing, we noticed the service file (/usr/lib/systemd/system/neutron-bgp-dragent.service) was missing, compared to http://cbs.centos.org/koji/rpminfo?rpmID=95576 ... So, the migration to this new repo seems right, but it doesn't include the service file? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Steve

If we want to do RPM builds from git (aka trunk RPMs), we have a tool DLRN for that, used for trunk.rdoproject.org but we might need some work in OVS upstream to ensure proper versioning e.g. git describe on master is v1.1.0pre2-12667-g11d9ad2 while on branch-2.7 is v2.7.0-122-g6180d2a. This would generate lower version on master, but maybe as a first step we could start tracking only branch-2.7 to avoid this issue. Cheers, Alan
