There are a few aspects of supporting a distribution:

* Packaging of all of the core components of OpenStack, which means
keeping dependencies up to date, dealing with rebases from the stable
branch releases, backporting critical fixes from the stable branch

* Maintaining, monitoring and troubleshooting CI jobs

* Test day work, making sure that the distro works smoothly

* Bug triage for things specific to the platform (i.e. a bug on CentOS6
that is not present on CentOS7)

I'm sure others can weigh in with more details, but that's at least a
start. Folks like Alan Pevec, Wes Hayutin, Jakub Ruzicka can probably
assist with more details.

One thing is that if we are going to do an EL6 distro, it can't just
contain a subset of the components that you identified above (Nova,
Ceilometer, clients).

A BOF sounds like a good idea.

I'm not sure how one goes about organizing a BOF though... Anyone else
know how this might work?
