Couple more things:

  - Maybe your yum metadata stale? try 
    
      $ yum clean all 

    and re-run your test.


  - Try to explicitly add the mirrors entry 

      66.135.62.201 mirrors.fedoraproject.org

    to  /etc/hosts and re-run your test.
