According to https://www.rdoproject.org/documentation/add-packages/, there should be a license generated for me, but I haven?t seen it yet. It was filed in Fedora, I've moved it to RDO since this is a Neutron driver afaict? In Fedora we would package general non-OpenStack dependencies. License check is not automated, please paste output of the licensecheck command (dnf install licensecheck) running on the upstream source checkout. We'll add that explicit step in the docs, thanks for pointing it out! This means that the set of packages in RDO Trunks will be split into separate logical components, that can be promoted independently by the TripleO CI. Thus, an issue in one component will not necessarily stop all updates, just those related to that component. We have successfully prototyped the concept (see [1]), and we are ready to move on to the implementation stage. The upcoming CentOS8-based builder is a good opportunity to start from scratch, so we are planning to create it with components. What do we need from you? We have an initial proposal for the component split in [2], and we need your reviews to ensure we have placed the right packages on each component (of course this can change over time). Once the component list is agreed, we will proceed to merge all relevant patches ([3]) and create the new RDO Trunk builder. >From a user's perspective, you should not notice any change: promoted repositories will still be delivered from the same locations (e.g. trunk.rdoproject.org/centos8-master/current-tripleo/delorean.repo). The under-the-hood changes will mostly affect the TripleO CI team. Now we are able to run OpenStack Train version on RHEL 8 on LinuxONE. These are what we've archived: 1. We can use PackStack to install/deploy OpenStack on LinuxONE, we tested all-in-one mode and multipul compute nodes mode. 2. We've run basic OpenStack test cases. We've test Keystone, Glance, Nova, Neutron, Heat, Horizon, Placement, Ceilometer etc. 3. We will continue to build new packages once RDO Train(for rhel8) has packages update As a follow-up of this topic [1], and we want to contribute those LinuxONE packages to RDO community, we have some questions need community help: 1. Is there a server we can upload those packages for LinuxONE? E.g, use this repo as a experimental repo for LinuxONE. 2. Now we run test with Packstack on RHEL8 manually, if we want to make RDO support LinuxONE officially, is CI system a requiment? Thank you.
