So, it appears that a lunch meeting is difficult. Lauren's response
about commandeering a table at lunch can be seen at
http://lists.openstack.org/pipermail/community/2014-October/000930.html but
the summary is that, since the summit is sold out, they don't want us
to take any more time than necessary at lunch tables, but just eat and
free it up for the next people.
Remaining options include:
* Meet at nearby restaurant. We're investigating the possibility of
reserving seating for 20-30 somewhere in walking distance.
* Obtain a BoF room, since this is a community event, which happens
*during* conference sessions. This means that people would have to
choose between this event and a session, which is unfortunate.
* Evening event, which is also difficult due to how packed every
evening of the event is.
All three of these are possible, but each has problems. Getting a room
at the Meridien or the Hyatt has proved to be very expensive.
So, in summary, we're still going to try really hard to do this
meetup, but we're still unsure where and when it's going to happen.
Thanks for your patience, and I'll be sure to let you know as soon as
we have something more definite.
