Thanks for the prompt response.
Here is the output:
[root at sse-durl-ora1 ~]# rpm -q rabbitmq-server
rabbitmq-server-3.1.5-1.el6.noarch
[root at sse-durl-ora1 ~]# journalctl -u rabbitmq-server    (looks like the command was not found)

There's quite a few bugs in the rabbitmq-server package that might be causing this.  Some of them have been fixed recently and some of them I am actively fixing in rawhide and backporting to F20 (assuming you are using Fedora).
Can you provide the output of:
rpm -q rabbitmq-server
journalctl -u rabbitmq-server
That should help pin down why it's failing.
