Yes, but switching to systemd is not a big issue I think.
CentOS 7 is systemd-ready :)
My main question is "will it work fine with Mitaka" ? Do I need
to upgrade the compute node ceph packages (for openstack
integration) ?
I hope the answer is yes but I will be reassured if someone has
already try it
Hammer to Jewel also changed from upstart/sysvinit to systemd if memory serves right ? So it's definitely another tricky part. And Ceph Luminous just came out too ! :) David Moreau Simard Senior Software Engineer | OpenStack RDO dmsimard = [irc, github, twitter] On Thu, Aug 31, 2017 at 8:39 AM, Matthew Taylor <mtaylor@mty.net.au> wrote:Hi, I would probably upgrade Ceph first. Hammer to Infernalis was a big jump, mainly looking at the changes with how the daemon runs under 'ceph' user, instead of 'root'. It also has it's own quirks (ie. ulimits) too. I can also confirm that Mitaka + Infernalis works fine (I have that in production). Matt.
