there is no mention of the "fedora" on the page. that is what mislead me to believe since my instack is centos7.1 then the images generated would also be centos7.1
instead it said "The built images will automatically have the same base OS as the running"

i believe the documentation needs to be updated

export NODE_DIST=centos7 is mandatory as fedora is the default

Thanks a lot for trying rdo-manager.

The docs are correct here. It always builds fedora-user image for testing the overcloud puproses (testing script is spinning up a VM in overcloud). The main overcloud images (overcloud-full.*) should be fully CentOS based in your case.
