if you check Hypervisor info => nova hypervisor-show [ID] just before first reboot ( and of course I mean after overcloud deploy ) of node and after rebooting the only param which in change is: [ service_host ]

Cos management interface are in dhcp-client mode on baremetals and on each boot i think the take hostname via dhcp... Or some think alike :-/
