<div dir="ltr"><div><div><div><div><div>Hello<br><br></div>I am attempting to test out the latest version of rdo manager and i noticed a few things about download speeds.<br></div>- the rdo and dependent repositories do not use deltarpms - deltarpms are _very_ useful to those with slow internet connections<br></div>- the download of the qcow image from <a href="http://cloud.centos.org">cloud.centos.org</a> is the uncompressed version. even though there is an xz image available<br></div>-<span style="font-family:monospace"><span style="color:#000000;background-color:#ffffff">instack-virt-setup</span> doesnt resume downloads. so if a centos image doesnt complete its download, the next time you run instack-virt-setup it will download the image from scratch again.<br><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family:monospace">I havent completed the instack-virt-setup yet (been trying now for about 12 hours - and i do have a good internet connection/ RTP) but i do have one last observation.<br><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family:monospace">i went to <a href="http://cloud.centos.org/centos/7/images/?C=M;O=A">http://cloud.centos.org/centos/7/images/?C=M;O=A</a> and discovered the script was downloading</span><span style="font-family:monospace"><span style="color:#000000;background-color:#ffffff"> CentOS-7-x86_64-GenericCloud.qcow2 but there is a newer version after that. maybe some links could be used to point to the uncompressed version of the latest copy as well as the compressed version?<br><br></span></span></div><div><span style="font-family:monospace"><span style="color:#000000;background-color:#ffffff">thank you very much for listening to my 2 cents<br></span></span>
